How many kids per class are there?
A maximum of 24 in grades K-3 and 30 in 4-8.


Does BVA offer music and art?
Yes! BVA has a visual and performing arts program, providing drama, music, and art instruction. BVA works directly with local artists to provide quality instruction in the arts.

Does BVA offer Spanish instruction?

Yes! BVA provides Spanish instruction on a weekly basis.

Will MPUSD (or another school district) accept my children after they complete the 8th grade?

Yes. By law, the school district within which you reside must accept your son or daughter as a student in one of their schools.


Will there be child care before and after school?
BVA has contracted with the City of Monterey for after school care at the school, and will be providing before school care with BVA staff members. Contact the BVA office to register.

Can my child and I come observe a classroom in session?

Please contact the office if you would like to visit Bay View Academy while it is in session, 831.717.4630

Is there an open house where we can learn more about the school?

The BVA Open House for 2017/2018 will be held on January 28, 2017.  
10:30am - Noon on both campuses.
