Spring Gala Tickets - Saturday April 18th 4:30-8:30pm at Elks Lodge Monterey
Hello BVA Community, friends, family, and neighbors,
We have reserved the Monterey Elks Lodge on Saturday April 18th from 4:30-8:30pm for our annual Spring Gala Fundraiser. Tickets are available for this "Under the Sea" themed adult night out on this post until April 9th, or they sell out. Invite your friends, family, and neighbors! This is a semi-formal to formal adult fundraising event, like grownup prom or fancy date night, and includes:
*Door prizes drawn throughout the night for attendees, photo booth, board games in the lounge area, 10 class raffle basket drawings (see messages in parent square about helping to build your grade's basket), silent auction online
*4:30-5:30pm cocktail hour: charcuterie spread, complimentary wine, fee based bar for beer and cocktails
*6-7pm buffet dinner: Dinner Rolls with butter, Caesar salad, Roasted Vegetables, nut-free pesto pasta, Chicken Marsala and Chicken Piccata, coffee and tea bar, dessert (Please let CVO know if you have any food allergies/special requests so we can get those submitted to the caterer by April 1st.)
*7-8:30 Dancing (with DJ)
This is a BIG fundraiser for BAY VIEW ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL with past years events raising $15,000-$20,000 for our school. These funds are used for field trips, student enrichment, free BVA community events (like Ice Cream Social and Trunk or Treat), and staff appreciation. You do not need to attend to purchase raffle tickets or win grade raffle baskets, or participate in the silent auction.
If you are a BVA family or staff member needing a deeper discount, please comment on this post or email CVO@bayview-academy.org The more tickets we sell, the lower the cost per person goes as the venue/DJ/Security costs get spread amongst more tickets. As ticket sales come in, CVO will be able to offer some lower cost tickets to staff and families who want to attend but cannot afford this price point.
If you would like to help buy your teacher's ticket or sponsor any lower cost tickets, there is a ticket sponsor donation option available on this post. If you want to donate to a specific person, please write their name in the payment notes section. We want everyone to be able to attend, but also need to be mindful of the base cost for the event.
If you need childcare for the event, YMCA of the Monterey Peninsula has confirmed that they will hold a concurrent Kid's Night Out event for us from 4pm-9pm for $25/child for YMCA members and $35/child for non-members. CVO is also working with other local businesses to create overlapping Kids' Night Out events to help secure childcare. For example: Rising Star Gymnatics has an event from 5:30-9:30 the same night.
If you have or know of a business that would like to make a tax deductible donation of goods, services, or sponsorship for the silent auction or the events itself, please reach out so we can coordinate the donation and thank you letter. We also welcome any help and ideas for the event!
All Event Sponsors will receive a thank you letter with tax ID for deductions:
-Event Sponsors $100-499 will be listed by name as Event Sponsors on the donor board, in thank you posts on socials, and in school programming through the next calendar year
-$500 Silver Sponsors listed with their Logo higher up on the donor board and all other perks of the previous category
-$1000 Gold Sponsors listed larger and higher up the donor board with logo and include 2 VIP seats and all other previous perks
-$2500 Platinum Sponsors at the top of the donor board with logo and include a VIP table of 8 and all other previous perks
VIP Tables are also available for $1000 without any Event Sponsorship, and your purchase will be aknowleged on the donor board under VIP tables. Each of the 8 guests for VIP tables will receive a small swag bag at the event. include a reserved VIP table with 8 guest tickets, a small swag bag for each VIP guest, and your choice of name/business name on the donor board and in the thank you section of our programs for the next calendar year.
